FOUNDER

Marthe founded Lone Peak Law Group after navigating the court system herself without a lawyer. She saw many of her fellow Montanans facing the same challenge. She became a lawyer and created Lone Peak Law Group to help meet that need.

A fifth-generation Montanan, VanSickle earned her law degree from the University of Montana School of Law, where she received certificates in Indian law and public policy. During law school, she was recognized with the Dean’s Award for Leadership, the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Student Advocacy Award, and for pro bono service. She also competed on the University of Montana National Trial Team.

Additionally, VanSickle holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Montana and a Bachelor of Science degree in cellular and molecular biology from Salish Kootenai College. 

Most recently, VanSickle served as the ACLU of Montana staff attorney and was also a member of the ACLU of Montana Board of Directors. She previously worked as a public defender in Yellowstone County, as a prosecutor in Missoula County, and for the City of Missoula. Following law school, she clerked for retired Montana Supreme Court Chief Justice Michael McGrath. 

VanSickle is a member of the State Bar of Montana and is admitted to practice in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is also a member of the Montana Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Driven by a deep belief in the power of law to effect positive social change, Sarah chose to pursue a legal career with a clear mission: to support clients through some of life’s most challenging moments. She understands how overwhelming and intimidating the legal system can be and is dedicated to standing by her clients every step of the way, ensuring they feel heard, understood, and empowered.

Sarah graduated with honors and pro bono honors from the University of Montana School of Law. A Bozeman native and fourth-generation Montanan, she proudly earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with high honors from Montana State University.

MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR

Ariana is a nationally recognized public relations professional with more than a decade of experience in developing and executing multi-channel communication campaigns, encompassing social media, media relations, and owned channels.

Currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in strategic communications, Ariana also holds a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from the University of Montana and a graduate certificate in mission leadership from the University of Providence.
