Lone Peak Law Group Establishes Practice in Southwest Montana
Lone Peak Law Group is announcing its establishment in Ennis, Mont. The woman-owned law firm concentrates on criminal defense, contracts, civil litigation, and family law.
Founded by Marthe VanSickle, JD, MPA, Lone Peak Law Group aims to address the growing need for quality legal services in the Treasure State, particularly for rural residents.
"I started Lone Peak Law Group after navigating the court system myself without a lawyer. I saw many of my fellow Montanans facing the same challenges. So, I became an attorney and founded this law firm to help my community," said VanSickle. "At Lone Peak Law Group, we provide compassionate counsel and fearless advocacy, ensuring your story is heard and your rights are protected."
A fifth-generation Montanan, VanSickle earned her law degree from the University of Montana School of Law, where she received certificates in Indian law and public policy. During law school, she was recognized with the Dean’s Award for Leadership, the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Student Advocacy Award, and for pro bono service. She also competed on the University of Montana National Trial Team.
VanSickle holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Montana and a Bachelor of Science degree in cellular and molecular biology from Salish Kootenai College.
Most recently, VanSickle served as the ACLU of Montana staff attorney and was also a member of the ACLU of Montana Board of Directors. She previously worked as a public defender in Yellowstone County, as a prosecutor in Missoula County, and for the City of Missoula. Following law school, she clerked for retired Montana Supreme Court Chief Justice Mike McGrath.
VanSickle is a member of the State Bar of Montana and is admitted to practice in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is also a member of the Montana Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
